Nimal was our guide for the majority of our 2 weeke trip around Sri Lanka. He drove us all over including Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Udawalawe, Ahangama and Galle. Nimal always went above and beyond to enrich our experience - there’s a side of Sri Lanka we wouldn’t have seen without him - especially the surfing on Ahangama beach which was not part of our original plan! We visited just after the extreme flooding in Sri Lanka and Nimal always put our safety first. Despite the effects of the flooding he still managed to drive us to all our locations on our plan. Nimal spoke to locals and tourist attractions on our behalf to ensure we weren’t overcharged on prices and also helped us to get private tours with just us and a guide often - without him we definitely wouldn’t have had the same experience. He also had lots of stories and showed us lots of interesting things on the way including buffalo curd on the side of the road and king coconuts! We’d highly recommend Nimal and will be doing so to our family and friends!
Cultural and Coastal Combo

9 Days · 8 Nights private tour, hosted by Ceylon Quay
Private chauffeur · 4 signature experiences · fully customisable
This route is designed for travellers who do not want to choose between cultural depth and a softer coastal finish. It starts with Sri Lanka’s inland strengths and ends with an easier pace by the sea.
It is one of the most practical ways to experience both sides of the island in a single trip without making either the cultural or coastal portion feel too rushed.
What makes this trip
- 01 Cultural triangle
A strong inland foundation gives the journey context and depth before the route becomes lighter.
- 02 Kandy
Adds structure, tradition, and a clear midpoint to the cultural side of the route.
- 03 Galle Fort
A heritage stop that transitions the trip naturally into the coastal portion.
- 04 Beach time
Ending by the sea makes the overall experience feel more complete and balanced.
Day-by-day
Designed to feel practical and enjoyable, not overloaded.
- Day 1
Arrival and transfer inland
Start with a smooth inland transfer and settle into the first stage of the route.
- Day 2
Cultural city and temple context

- Day 3
Ancient-site exploration
Focus on one of the island’s key heritage landmarks with enough time to experience it properly.
- Day 4
Second heritage region
Continue through the cultural triangle with a day that complements the previous one rather than repeats it.
- Day 5
Transition day toward the south
Travel onward with the route gradually changing away from temple and ruin landscapes.
- Day 6
Galle Fort and coast
Use the day to bridge history and seaside atmosphere in one of the island’s strongest coastal heritage settings.
- Day 7
Beach and coastal free time
Let the route slow down with more beach time and an easier rhythm.

We requested a completely bespoke honeymoon and every single detail was perfect - boutique villa overlooking tea hills, sunrise at Sigiriya. Pure, unforgettable magic.
As a solo traveller, safety was my top priority. My guide made me feel like I had a trusted local friend at every step.
