Nimal was our guide for the majority of our 2 weeke trip around Sri Lanka. He drove us all over including Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Udawalawe, Ahangama and Galle. Nimal always went above and beyond to enrich our experience - there’s a side of Sri Lanka we wouldn’t have seen without him - especially the surfing on Ahangama beach which was not part of our original plan! We visited just after the extreme flooding in Sri Lanka and Nimal always put our safety first. Despite the effects of the flooding he still managed to drive us to all our locations on our plan. Nimal spoke to locals and tourist attractions on our behalf to ensure we weren’t overcharged on prices and also helped us to get private tours with just us and a guide often - without him we definitely wouldn’t have had the same experience. He also had lots of stories and showed us lots of interesting things on the way including buffalo curd on the side of the road and king coconuts! We’d highly recommend Nimal and will be doing so to our family and friends!
Southern Coast Escape

5 Days · 4 Nights private tour, hosted by Ceylon Quay
Private chauffeur · 4 signature experiences · fully customisable
This package is designed for travellers who want the southern coast without overcomplicating the route. It combines just enough structure to include the main coastal highlights with enough open time to keep the journey genuinely relaxing.
It works especially well after a busier inland trip, or as a shorter Sri Lanka experience for guests who prefer the sea, heritage streets, and slower evenings.
What makes this trip
- 01 Galle Fort
A walkable UNESCO-listed fort area with shops, cafes, architecture, and an atmosphere that suits a slower travel pace.
- 02 Unawatuna beach time
An accessible and practical beach stop for swimming, unwinding, and easing into the southern coast mood.
- 03 Mirissa coastline
A well-known coastal stretch that works for sunsets, sea views, and a relaxed overnight base.
- 04 Sunset coastal evenings
One of the strongest parts of this route is simply having enough time to enjoy the coast at the right pace.
Day-by-day
Designed to feel practical and enjoyable, not overloaded.
- Day 1
Arrival and transfer south
Travel down the coast after arrival and settle into your beach stay. Depending on arrival time, this day is usually kept light so the journey begins without pressure.
- Day 2
Galle Fort and nearby coastline
Explore the streets of Galle Fort and then continue with a slower afternoon along the nearby coast. The day combines heritage atmosphere with beach-side flexibility.
- Day 3
Beach day in Unawatuna or Mirissa
Enjoy a more open day with time for swimming, lounging, a cafe lunch, or optional activities depending on weather and preference.
- Day 4
Slow southern coast experience
Use the day for more beach time, a whale-watching add-on in season, or a very relaxed pacing with minimal travel. This helps the package feel like a true coastal break instead of a fast sightseeing loop.
- Day 5
Departure transfer
Travel onward toward the airport or the next destination with timing adjusted to your wider travel plans.

We requested a completely bespoke honeymoon and every single detail was perfect - boutique villa overlooking tea hills, sunrise at Sigiriya. Pure, unforgettable magic.
As a solo traveller, safety was my top priority. My guide made me feel like I had a trusted local friend at every step.
